MyTree Corporate Volunteer Activity Review
27.11.2025

Recently, together with Hands On Hong Kong, we led 15 volunteers from Bloomberg to Tai Tam Country Park, where they spent two hours recording trees using the MyTree mobile application.

Before the activity began, we introduced the ecological features of Tai Tam Country Park and demonstrated the tools and techniques used for tree recording. During the activity, the volunteers recorded a total of 16 trees. These 16 trees have stored 4,221 kilograms of carbon to date, and each year they remove 15,481 kilograms of carbon dioxide and 158 kilograms of air pollutants.

Participants shared that the tree-recording process gave them a much clearer understanding of the ecological benefits that trees bring, and they also learned to identify many different tree species. They even said that next time they go hiking, they will pay more attention to the various tree species along the trails!

The MyTree application was developed by us to promote knowledge about trees and their importance, and to encourage the public to take responsibility for caring for and protecting trees. Our goal is to work with the community to build a comprehensive tree inventory for Hong Kong’s country parks, helping the public better understand trees, forest ecological benefits, and their relationship with the environment.

We sincerely invite you to join us in making a positive impact on the environment!
