Chief Executive Officer (Leadership Position)

Parks & Trails is a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating a healthy community and a vibrant nature for all in Hong Kong by means of educational programs, activities and data generated from tech and user insights.  We are committed to demonstrating the values our natural environment brings to the city.  Our mission is based on three principles – share, care and protect.  (1) creating a shared experience of parks and trails, (2) promoting a caring and inclusive access to nature, (3) empower people to be stewards of PNT to safeguard the natural environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking an impact-driven, visionary Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next phase of growth with clarity of purpose and the ability to execute on strategy.

The Executive Officer (EO) provides strategic leadership and overall management for Parks & Trails Limited, working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees to lead development of organisation and team. The EO is responsible for defining, implementing, and evaluating organizational goals, strategies, and performance standards to fulfil the company’s mission. The role will work closely with other senior leaders to lead the team.  S/he will represent the organization externally with stakeholders, funders, partners, and government bodies.  

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic leadership, collaboration and management across organisation, actualising vision and mission, driving execution and results
  2. Innovate upon existing programs and develop ways to engage community to drive social impact and demonstrate our values
  3. Develop and drive our organisation and be an external spokesperson promoting and representing Parks and Trails, develop and manage external relationships, broaden and diversify funding streams
  4. Interest and sound knowledge of technological use and trends to transform data and insights into stories and actions, work closely with Technical Officer to harvest insights from users and audiences.
  5. Financial management of the organisation including budgets and forecasts

 

Communications and Engagement Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned communications and engagement expert to drive our external communications to promote PNT initiatives, facilitate engagement and drive impact.  The Expert is responsible for communication strategy and presenting a coherent narrative. They will be steering the digital, written and visual image of PNT, including communication and outreach efforts on social media.  The role will work closely with other senior team members, and support efforts in promotion and presentation of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage organisational narrative to drive a consistent image, voice and identity externally
  2. Plan, coordinate and deliver timely communication and outreach by creating engaging content on social media outlets
  3. Track and analyse communication and engagement metrics to continuously improve reach and impact
  4. Partner with Fundraising and Partnership Officer to prepare written and presentation materials
  5. Lead efforts in generating impact story and influence Project and Event team members in driving impact across programs and activities
  6. Actively manage collaboration and amplify synergies with external parties to generate greater impact.
